A. Yes. You, as the site owner, and Friends and/or members if you so choose, can be automatically notified when changes are made to your site. These notifications are called Alerts. Alerts can be sent by email and/or text message.

To configure your alerts:

  1. View or amend your Alert settings by selecting 'Users' from the main menu and clicking on your user name. Here you can enable or disable your alerts and set how and how often they are sent.
  2. Create an 'Alert Selection' by selecting 'Search the site' from the main menu. Fill in the search form to define the set of items that you want to receive alerts for (the alert criteria) and click the 'Set Alert' button.

Now when Alerts are enabled and any item that matches your alert criteria (i.e. would be shown as a result of the search you have just set up) is changed or created, you'll receive the Alert you specified.

Tip: The 'Current Status' section in the side-bar has a link that allows you to quickly toggle alerts on or off. This makes it convenient to switch alerts on and off if you have logged in to create or amend content but do not wish to receive alerts while you are doing this.
