openZpace is the first personal publishing service aimed at both fixed and mobile Internet users in the UK and Europe. It provides everything you will ever need to create, host and update your personal web site, whether using a PC or a suitably enabled mobile phone.

A. Yes. Because you'll want to make sure openZpace is absolutely right for you, you can use the capabilities of the Standard service free for thirty days. We don't even ask for your payment details until you've finished the month's free trial.

A. We accept on-line payments only using MasterCard, Visa, Switch, Delta, Electron, Solo and JCB. You need only enter your payment information once. We will charge your designated card automatically each month with the amount for the service level you have authorised.

A. Go to 'Settings' and select 'Account Info' and you can cancel your account right away. OpenZpace does not provide refunds of any unused prepaid subscription on your account at the time of cancellation.

A. Yes and no. We allow you to upgrade your service level at anytime you wish. Because of technical and administrative problems associated with downgrading from one level of service to another, this is not currently possible.

A. Those using the trial service are free use the extensive list of FAQs to help answer any questions they may have.
Subscribers with a paid account who cannot find an answer to their question in the FAQs, can contact support by selecting the 'Contact' option from the main menu of their site and completing the support request form. Telephone service is not available at this time.

A. Not at this time. We will be upgrading openZpace so that selected service levels will be able to utilise alternative domain names. In the interim, you can however cause an existing domain name to point to your openZpace site. This is easy to achieve and the company that registered the domain name for you can assist you in this regard.

Personal publishing (or 'blogging' as it more commonly known) enables individuals to publish information of their choice using the World Wide Web through the creation of a personal web site (or 'blog'). Personal web sites can comprise text, photos, video clips or other files, which can be uploaded via the Internet using any PC or a mobile phone.

Personal web sites or blogs have become so popular so quickly because anyone can use them for all sorts of things. Here are just a few:
- Share your diary (journal) with those you want to read it
- Get messages to your friends and colleagues instantly, however many there are, for the price of a single text message
- Share photos with friends or colleagues wherever they may be

To create a new item, locate the 'Create a new item' tool, select the type of item you wish to create from the pull-down list and click on the 'Create' button. It couldn't be easier!

A. There are two ways to achieve this. Select 'Photo' from the pull-down choice list in 'Create a new item' and click on the 'Create' button. Complete the boxes as appropriate. It is important to note that Photos uploaded in this fashion will only appear in the Photo Album. However, you may choose to promote the photo in question to the Site Summary if you wish it to appear there also. In this case, check the box 'Promoted to site summary'.

A. Yes. We allow you to categorise the items you post to your site using the Topics feature. When creating an item, select a topic from the pull down list.

Yes. You can cut small or large amounts of text from word processing documents and paste them directly into journals. If the source is a Word document with different types of fomatting, the formatting commands may cause the text to appear differently when pasted into the journal than in the original document. It is advisable to remove all formatting in the source document before cutting and

A. Yes. In order to safeguard the performance of the service for the benefit of all and prevent misuse, certain limits on the number and size of items that can be uploaded have been set. Given the flexibility of openZpace there are quite a few limits and some also vary from service level to service level making it difficult to list them all here. Users can view their limits by going to the 'Account info' section of the 'Settings' menu.
